Determine key, unique traits, and characteristics that the company needs. If it’s a tech startup, you need a developer, marketing and sales person.

Determine what you bring to the table, and what you’re world-class at and add key people based off of that. Whether it’s finance, operator, or manager.

Determine key bottlenecks in business life cycle. If your team is sitting around and needs more sales, focus on building and developing the sales team.

If you’re busy and can’t handle your orders, focus on operations and areas of operations. They will focus on what they are good at and what they enjoy. They will be lacking in certain responsibilities. I would hire key people to fill in the voids to divide and conquer.

The key is to focus on offense and defense; grow at the same pace to hit your numbers.
